Ronaldo cites ‘heat of moment’ after left off Manchester United squad
Brazil international Ronaldo left his side out of the line-up for Tuesday’s Champions League trip to Dortmund but does not see any issue in the decision.
The former striker was not in the United squad for their Champions League second leg 2-1 win at Barcelona and had not played for them since Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Everton.

“He makes the decision and I will respect it. As a player, I like to play in different positions for the team.”
The 27-year old will be forced to watch his side face Manchester City in the quarter-finals on Thursday after a ban was handed to the striker since the loss to Barcelona.
“It is in the hands of the federation now, although I think he deserves a suspension, too,” he said.
“I will watch that game. He is a world leader. He’s a great player. I hope he gets the ban because he is a great player.”
The Red Devils’ top-four hopes were left hanging by their fingertips after their Champions League clash with the Catalan giants, who defeated them in the group stage, as well as in the final of the International Champions Cup in August.
